About Miss. Agboeze Mercy, B.Sc. Applied Biochemistry
I am a compassionate and experienced tutor teaching Mathematics and English, which comprises Vocabulary, Writing, Comprehension, Grammar, and Phonics, to pupils across primary school levels. I also offer focused 11+ exam preparation, helping students build the knowledge and exam skills they need through structured practice, working on core knowledge, exam technique, timed practice, past-paper strategies, and confidence building, so students learn to manage time, approach questions calmly, and perform their best under test conditions. With 5 years of experience, I have mastered the art of teaching across all primary school levels by breaking concepts into small, manageable steps. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging, fun learning space where every child can grow their skills, curiosity, express themselves, and ask questions whenever they are confused about anything being taught in class.
Teaching Approach
My teaching approach is I like to take things step by step with my pupils, breaking lessons into small, simple parts so they don’t feel overwhelmed. I also try to make my classes lively and enjoyable, because I believe children learn better when they’re having fun and not just being forced to study. I encourage a lot of interaction during lessons, asking questions and involving them as much as possible, I also make use of simple technology like writing pads and noise-cancelling microphones to make my lessons clearer and more engaging, so my pupils can focus and learn without distractions. I pay close attention to each child by using continuous assessment, asking questions, and keeping track of their progress. This helps me understand their strengths and where they need support, so I can adjust my teaching to meet their individual needs and help them grow with confidence.
